With less than two weeks to go to Election Day, I would once again like to ask everyone to get out and make some noise!  Every day is crucial as we approach November 6th. We must get out the facts and show Jackson County that we are ready to move in a new direction.

Over the past several months, I’ve continued to visit communities in our county, but I know that there is so much more that needs to be done.  I hope to have the opportunity as your County Commission Chairman to check off some items on that long list that will make our county a better place to live, work and play!  Be sure to tell your friends and family that we can use all the support they can give.  Talk about the issues in Jackson County and how we can resolve those issues as a team.  I am always available to listen to or to answer questions about the future of our county.

Please use any tools you have to help get the word out.  Post on your Facebook pages, share a tweet or send a text and let everyone know how important it is to get out and vote on Nov. 6^th. 

I also wanted to remind you that Friday is the deadline for registering to vote.  If you haven’t registered yet, please don’t miss the chance!

Please also remember those that may not be able to make it to the polls on the 6^th and ask if they need assistance in obtaining an absentee ballot or getting a ride to the polls.  Voting in our nation is an awesome privilege and right that we should not take for granted.  Help those who wish to take advantage of that right and get them to the polls!

I truly appreciate you taking time out of your day to cast a ballot. I promise that, should you elect me, the time you spend voting will be rewarded by my dedicated service to our county.

I will not just wait for problems to fall in my lap.  I will seek every day for opportunities to bring jobs and investment into our community.  I will find ways to be a better steward of your tax dollars.  I will cooperate with your government to resolve conflicts in the community. The runoff election is tomorrow, and I would like to ask for your support and your vote in the race for County Commission Chairman. I have been working hard to meet as many of the citizens of this county as possible and will continue to seek out the issues that are most important to you.  I want to have the opportunity to work with you in finding solutions to our county’s problems and in providing a better future for all of our communities and our people.

I know that there have been questions in regard to my stance on several issues. I understand that the commission chairman position is a full-time job, and I will commit my time to making this next commission a successful one. I will work hard as I have always done and continue to build relationships with community leaders so that we can have the progress that is right at our doorstep.

If we are to have a brighter future for our children and grandchildren, we must have a commission that is willing to work together, work professionally and strive to meet the needs of our people. I will continue to commit myself to this type of leadership.

During my time on the Scottsboro City Council, we have had many successes. These successes have been based on a team approach. By working together, the mayor and council have done well in moving our community forward.  This includes achievements in recreation, industrial and commercial development as well as achieving an A+ financial rating from Standard and Poors for responsible financial management. I want to bring the same commitment for these issues to the county level.

I hope to be able to serve the people of Jackson County with leadership that will be open, transparent and honest. I have always followed my conscience and my convictions. I will remain my own person in the future, as I have in the past and continue to make decisions based on the facts presented.

I truly believe there is real opportunity for our county. We just need a vision and the leadership that can take us there. I hope to have your support on Tuesday, April 24th as we work together in building a brighter future for all of the citizens of Jackson County.

We are only one week away from election day and are working  hard to get the message out!  I spent more time last week meeting citizens throughout the county.  As I revisit some places I continue to see familiar faces.  This, to me, is one of the most important aspects of the campaign process: to meet the people you will be serving in office.  I am glad that I am beginning to build relationships with individuals throughout the county.  This will make communication so much better as we work to move our county forward.  I hope that all of those supporting my message will endeavor with me this week.  Every vote will count on April 24th and I need your help in reminding voters to get out and vote.  I thank all of those who have been working so hard to support my campaign.  Let’s continue to work for our future!

• Ambulance and sheriff service to the North Sand Mountain Area,

• Water in Wanville, and

• Some direct issues that affect funding in the school system.

I hope to help our county achieve progress and improvement, moving towards the ultimate solutions of these issues.

I will continue to travel the county, meet with individuals and listen for the problems that the citizens of this county face.  And, given the opportunity, I would like to work hand in hand with our community leaders to see our problems solved.
